The reason of those problems is called Spyware, and it had been all over the internet because people try to attract people to their businesses in any way they can, and some of them, are trying to spy on your online behavior so they can target you with more ads and spam than you could ever imagine.
In order to remove the spyware from my computer, I've tried many spyware removal tools because I noticed that it doesn't matter what antivirus software you have, it won't find all the spyware in your computer, because they're focused on cleaning viruses, and spyware software is not typically a virus.
There are a couple of good free spyware removal tools, you can try Ad Aware which is very fast and reliable, it has helped me to remove most of my spyware problems but it always leave some tracking behind and it hasn't been able to remove all the spyware completely, you can also try Spybot which is a powerful removal tool but it's really slow and in order to remove the most of malliciuos software you have to scan it logged into windows and another scan before windows log in, so it can be very tricky.
The best spyware removal software I've found so far is Netcome3, although it's not free, it's really cheap and it does a very good, very easy to use, one of the fastest scan I've seen and found many mallicious pieces of software that I didn't even think they could be damaging my computer and it's very cheap also, which is very important for me.
